The Wytches definitely belong to the Sounds of 2014. Their psychedelic, with inspirations purging from The Cramps, Nirvana and the like will conquer every grunge fanatics. They are definitely contributing to bringing the guitar, more especially loud guitars, genre back to the front scene. Their debut album is something that will be well awaited early 2014. Also, check out their video for 'Robe For Juda'! Franz Ferdinand are mainly famous for their quirky, weird videos and with their come back this year with the release of 'Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions' it was not a disappointment when they released the video for 'Evil Eye'. The song is very cool and I do not recommend watching the video while eating (trust me!). Joanna Gruesome released their debut album earlier this year, called 'Weird Sister' and let's just say that they made waves. Their grunge yet Veronica Falls folk-ish sound and this video for debut single 'Sugarcrush' gave a capital N to the Noughties. This 2:54 video will make every 90's kid nostalgic of the awesome, kitsch time of the likes of The Prince Of Bel Air. And of course pizza. Queens Of The Stone Age. So many awesome videos/animated artworks taken from their amazing new album 'Like Clockwork' and only one video to choose. One you say?! You fool...QOTSA thought of everything when putting together this 15 min long gathering of each animated artwork for 'Like Clockwork'; knowing that we would never be able to choose only one! Weirdly I find the 'Keep Your Eyes Peeled' and 'If I Had A Tail' videos very sexy...but that's just me! 'Like Clockwork' is definitely the album of the year for me being a big QOTSA fan, and especially when Dave Grohl has something to do with them! It is less hardcore than 'Songs For The Deaf', and with no doubt more melodic. Black Casino And The Ghost, obviously, belong to this post. Not only the band released their amazing and critically-acclaimed debut album 'Some Dogs Think Their Name Is No' this year but they've also shot handmade videos and did their live return within the London scene. 2013 has been really exciting and you can't not share an awesome self-produced zombie related video. Another very VERY weird video of 2013, 'Tamale' by Tyler The Creator. I'm not really popular with Tyler The Creator, only read the big headlines and waves he creates but I really like this track, the beat is just hypnotising. I'm not even talking about the video, this is mental and actually perfect! Tyler riding a big cat, jumping on some lady's buttocks, what more can you ask for?!
